Customer relationship management. Examples include Adobe Marketo, Hubspot, and Salesforce Sales Cloud. CRM systems have been around for many years, and traditionally house a hierarchical collection of accounts (which typically represent organizations), contacts within those accounts, opportunities, win/loss opportunity status, contracts, and a myriad of metrics such as sales forecasts, account executive sales quotas, and so forth. Typical CRM size may house dozens to hundreds of thousands of contacts which are tied to tens of thousands of accounts.
